Chapter 5 - Hate

 In her dream Tonya was sitting on a bench in the middle of a park.A beautiful park.There were flowers everywhere,flowers of diferent colours:yellow,blue,pink,...She was happy,she was safe,she was relaxing.Relaxing in a beautiful park.Philip was there too,calling her name,touching her face,playing with her hair,a smile on his perfect face.She was holding a key,a golden key.Suddenly she heard an old voice screaming her name.
"Tonya,Tonya!Wake up!"-It was Charles,he was sitting by the bed she was sleeping on.-"Were you dreaming Tonya?"
 Tonya yawned and looked around.
"Yes,yes I was.Where am I anyway?"
"Well,Philip and I brought you to an hotel room after you fell asleep..Or fainted,we still don't know if you fell asleep or fainted..."- he said.
 Charles was old,he already had white hair.His hands were full of wrinkles.
"I fell asleep?When?I don't remember that!And how didn't I wake up on the way to the hotel?"
"I don't know...You and Philip were dancing and then you fell and didn't wake up until now.You must have had a very good dream.."-he said,looking at her in a weird way,like she was some kind of monster.
"Where is Philip,by the way?"
"He's gone, Tonya."
 Tonya felt dizzy and sick, what did he mean Philip was gone?
"Gone? Gone as in not in this room or gone as in,gone for ever?"
"A mix of both.He went back to his world,to school,and I should go back too,I'm his trainer after all!"
 After saying this,he got up,walked towards the door and turned to Tonya:
"Tonya,you should forget you know us,you should forget everything and move on with your life.What you're doing is dangerous,your feelings for Philip are dangerous."
 He opened the door and walked through it.Tonya got out of bed and went running to him.
"My feelings for Philip?What do you mean?"-she asked.
"You know exactly what I mean.Even if he wanted to,he couldn't feel the same way you do,besides being engaged,he knows that if he drags you into his world you'll get hurt."-Charles said.And without saying anything else,he shut the door behind him,leaving Tonya alone in the room.She left the room and followed Charles into another room.He took some sort of wand out of his pocket,opened a portal with it and went through it.Before the portal closed,Tonya went through it aswell falling on a road somewhere.She didn't know where she was,but she was sure it wasn't her world.This place had giant trees and huge towers made of gold! She looked around and a smile appeard on her face when she saw Philip and Jessica next to something like a bus station.She rushed to them and hugged Philip like she hadn't seen him in years.After that he pushed her away from him with a look of suspicion in his eyes and finally asked:
"Who are you?"
 Tonya swallowed his words with disgust and felt tears falling from her eyes.Had he forgotten her?

Chapter 4 - Understanding

 Meet me at the club tonight.Another message,this time Tonya knew it was from Philip and she was going.She wanted him to explain what happened the other day,she wanted to hear all about his world,about vampires,demons and other creatures.She wasn't afraid anymore,not when he was next to her.
 At 8 p.m, Tonya put on a pink top and a skirt that looked to small for her and left the house.Half hour later she arrived at the club.It was crowded,as always.But she didn't notice it,she was only worried about finding Philip.She found him sitting next to an old man and sat next to him.
"Hey..."-she said.Philip turned to her and smiled.
"Hi.This is Charles.-Philip pointed to the old man-"he is my tutor,he trains me."
"So...You're not born magic?"
"I'm not magic Tonya..."-he said, holding her gaze for a while and then looking down-"My swords kill the creatures,not me."
"Then explain me everything,Philip!I want to know!I want to know who you are,what you are,how many creatures exist,...I want to know everything!"-Tonya demanded.
 He looked at her as if he didn't understand why would someone want to know so much about him and his world.
"There isn't much to know...I'm Philip Honory, I'm half human,half angel and I fight bloodsuckers and demons.Oh,and werewolves too.We're called Monster Slayers."
"So,it's not just you?"
"Of course not!"
"You're half angel?"-Tonya asked, a look of disbelief in her eyes.
"Well,usually Monster Slayers are the offspring of angels and demons,but my mom is human,wich makes me half angel,half human.But I'm as good as any other of my kind."
"Or better!"-said Charles,that had been surprisingly quiet until then.-"He has killed more monsters than any other Monster Slayer his age!"
 Philip smiled,it's always good to hear that from your tutor.
"Philip..."-Tonya said,she looked serious,maybe even sad,and Philip noticed it.
"What?"
"About yesterday...Are you...Are you really engaged?"
"So you've met Jessica...Yeah,I am."
"Do you love her?"-Tonya asked,staring at him.
"Why do you care anyway?"-he said,his happy face was now angry.
"She's...so old.."-Tonya looked sad and fragile.
"Look"-he said,standing up and walking towards her."I don't love her and I never will!My parents chose her for me!That's how it works in my world."
 Tonya regreted bringing up the subject.
"It's my favourite music,let's dance!"-she said.
"I'm not in the mood."
 She ignored what he said and took his hand,pulling him to the dance track.He put his arms around her,pulling her towards him.She put her arms around his neck and rested her head on his chest.
"I think I don't want you to get married"-she said,her voice barely audible.
"I don't know wether I sould be sad or happy about what you just said."
 She didn't awnser,in fact, they danced all night,without saying a word,his bodies next to each other.

Chapter 3 - One Upsetting Discovery

 Tonya had decided not to answer the message,she had to go to school.That morning though, everything felt diferent,everything felt strange.At school,she couldn't focus,it was as if her soul was lost somewhere but her body was still present.

 After school,when she was walking home, she could see Philip's face everywhere: in every flower,every road, every window,...

"You look diferent today..."-she heard a voice say behind her,Tonya turned around and was surprised to see Philip standing there wearing something actually clean.She had never seen him dressed like that,with a white shirt,some jeans and no blood at all!

"Philip!What are you doing here?"-she asked.

"Well...You didn't come to the restaurant,so I came to get you."-he said,a sweet tone in his voice.

"That was you?!How did you know my number?"

"Well...I...".Before he could finish the sentence,a vampire jumped out of nowhere and threw himself on Philip who fell on the ground releasing a huge scream.Was he afraid?Tonya had never seen him afraid! But no,he wasn't.He managed to bump the vampire against a wall and kill him with a sword.It immediatly turn into ashes.Philip had killed it, but he was hurt, in fact, he was badly hurt.He was laying on the ground with loads of injuries made by the vampire's claws.Tonya aproached him and heard him say:

"Take this"-he said,taking something that looked like a phone out of his pocket and giving it to her-"Press five".

 Tonya pressed five and minutes later a tall blonde girl appeard.

"Oh no!!What happened here!"-the girl asked,terrified-"And who are you?"-she asked turning to Tonya.

"I'm Tonya, I am..."-Tonya hesitated-"I am a friend... He was attacked by a vampire!"

 Jessica turned to him,took something like a sirup out of her bag and made him drink it.

"I'm Jessica, we're engaded.We'll get married once he turns 18."

 To this,Tonya felt disapointment.She didn't know why,because she barely knew Philip,and he barely knew her!She thought Jessica was a bit old for him, she said they would get married once HE turned 18,wich meant she was already 18.And how could someone get married so young?How could someone be planning a wedding that wouldn't happen for at least 2 years? Were they that in love?

Chapter 2 - Screams

 Tonya left the club running,tears fell from her eyes.She wasn't sure why she was crying, she just couldn't bear to think about what happened.Demons?No,demons don't exist,demons can't exist,demons should only exist in kids' nightmares!At least,that was what she thought.

 She went home,needed to sleep,she took her clothes off and put on her pijama.A minute later, she fell asleep.

 At 2 a.m Tonya was woken by a scream coming from the outside,she ran downstairs, put on her jacket and left the building.

 Somehow she wasn't surprised when she saw Philip staring at nothing,wearing a white t-shirt that didn't look white anymore due to all the blood.Tonya wasn't sure,though, if the blood was his. Philip had his blue eyes wide open and didn't seem to notice her.

"What happened?Are you okay?I heard someone screaming!"-Tonya said.Philip turned to her and she noticed the way his eyes made her remember the ocean..So blue, so deep, so clean, so perfect...

"You?Again?! I thought I told you to forget all you saw and just go home!"-he said.His voice sounded angry but the look in his face showed Tonya that he was only worried.

"Oh, but I went home!You don't expect me to sleep when you're next to my house screaming like girl,do you?"

"It wasn't me!Hey, did you just call me a girl? Do I sound like a girl to you?! I came because I heard the scream too, and when I arrived all I saw was a vampire and I killed it!It's my job, you know?"

 Tonya sighed, she wasn't going to cry again,she didn't want to look weak in front of a boy like Philip.A strong,gutsy boy. 

"First demons, then vampires..Please tell me fairies exist too,at least those won't hurt anyone!"-she said, half joking,half serious.

"Fairies? Shut up! Who believes in faires?!"- after saying this, Philip laughed,wich made Tonya see that he wasn't the serious rude person she thought he was.

 He faked a smile,rolled his eyes,turned around and walked away from her.She went home too, she had to sleep because her aunt would wake her up early in the morning.Third time is the time, she thought.

 Next morning she woke up and saw that she had an anonymous message on her cell saying : Come and meet me at the nearest restaurant,someone wants to meet you.

Chapter 1 - The Meeting

 Tonya was preparing to go to bed when the phone rang.
"Who is it?"- she asked, in a sleepy tone.
"Tonya!! It's me ,Vivian!Your best friend,remember?"
"Oh...Vivian..Yeah..Look,can't you wait until tomorrow? I'm in desperate need of sleeping..."
"No way!"-Vivian screamed, making Tonya's ears shake-"The new bar opened!They have this really cool music playing and there are loads of cute guys!You don't want to miss this,believe me!"
 Tonya rolled her eyes and hung up the phone, she quickly left her house to go to the bar.This will only take a minute, she thought.
 The bar was crowded, there was barely enough space for one more person ,but still, people kept going in.She was just about to call Vivian when she saw her dancing with some black-haired guy.
"Tonya! You came!I thought you wouldn't, you sounded really tired. But here you are!!"-Vivian  said,screaming,as usual. Tonya was the kind of girl that didn't enjoy parties that much, she hated crowed places and the music was always so loud that she couldn't hear herself speaking! Her friend was the opposite, she liked to party all the time, she would sleep in a bar, if she could.Tonya was small for her age, she was 15 but looked like a 12 year old girl, she had light brown hair and big brown eyes,in the summer, her hair looked almost blond.
 Vivian was already dancing again with the same guy when Tonya saw a tall,blond,curly-haired boy that looked like he was after something.He was wearing a big black coat that covered all of his body.As curious as she was, Tonya followed the boy into a room.
"You're going to hell,here and now"-said the boy to another girl standing in front of him,then he started "praying" in another language and the girl just vanished.
"What was that all about?!"-Tonya asked.
"What?!"- the boy turned in surprise,he didn't think anyone besides him was there- "Now,who are you?!"
"I think you're the one who should answer that question first...And what happened to the girl?"
"Okay,look, I don't know who you are, but you were not supposed to see this.My name is Philip."-he said, looking around as if to see if someone else was there too.
"I'm Tonya...What happened to her?Did you kill her?"
"Wow girl, let's ease it up on the questions,okay?...That girl...Well..She didn't die, she went back to hell,to where she belongs, she wasn't human...She was.."-he stopped, it looked like he didn't want to finish the sentence.
"Was what!? Just tell me already!"-Tonya demanded.
"A demon, she was a demon, she is a demon...Satisfied now?"- he said, a rude tone in his voice.
 Tonya stared at him with a look of disbelief in her eyes,she couldn't believe what she had just heard, it was impossible, demons couldn't exist...Or could they?

Introduction

Tonya is a 15 year old teenager girl that lives in Kentucky with her aunt.Her parents died in a car accident and for her,planet Earth is a boring place..That was until she met Philip, a 17 year old blonde boy with loads of guts who fights all kind of magic creatures.With his help,will she find life a bit more interesting?
